Cascade Grain Ethanol Plant

Location: Clatskanie, Oregon
Services Provided: Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentss & Construction Administration

Brittell Architecture worked with JH Kelly and Ibberson Engineering to provide design services for one of the largest ethanol plants on the West coast. The plant will have a capacity of 108 million gallons per year of denatured ethanol with a design basis of operating 24 hours per day for 350 days per year. Our involvement included the design of a 2,500 square foot administration building, a 2,400 square foot maintenance building, and  the occupied spaces in the 30,000 sf process building (labs, lunch rooms, locker rooms, restrooms, and control rooms). We provided fire life safety oversight on the DDGS loadout enclosure, DDGS dryer, DD&E structure, fermentation equipment building and control room.
