David is the Principal Architect of Brittell Architecture Inc. Under his leadership and with his vision for the future, the firm is successfully helping clients realize their dreams. David started working in his grandfather and uncles' construction business and his father's architectural firm in 1984. He has gained valuable experience in the field of design and construction over the years. With this foundation, he is well equipped to lead Brittell Architecture Inc. into a successful future.
Jim is an attentive and client-oriented architect with over 20 years of experience in commercial, institutional, and residential projects. He takes pride in providing clients with innovative and practical solutions, while helping them navigate the complexities of a major building project. His work focuses on practical, sustainable, place-based architecture that respects both budget and timeline constraints, and he manages our Nehalem office.
Suzi joined our firm in 2008 after taking a break from architecture to be a full-time mom. Since her children are now in grown, she has the opportunity to further her abilities in architecture. She adds great value to our team with her excellent organizational skills and eye for interior design. Suzi is a graduate from the University of Washington and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.
Dwayne is the founder of what has become Brittell Architecture Inc. He started as a sole proprietor in 1972 after graduating from the University of Oregon and serving his apprenticeship in the San Juan Islands. After 38 years of practice, Dwayne retired from the practice. Over the years he has shared his vast experience and knowledge with his children. He has passed on the leadership of the company to his oldest son, David. Dwayne continues to offer advice and expertise from time to time.
Vice President, Office Manager
TerraSue is the Vice President of the firm and is David's wife. Vital to the firm's success, she works part-time doing various tasks to help the office run smoothly, including managing human resources, accounting, and customer relations.
Project Manager, Senior Design Drafter
Michael started working for the family design and construction business in 1990. Since then he has gained a broad range of experience in both design and construction. From 2003 through 2010 Michael focused on residential design as owner of his own design firm as well as working for another top residential design firm for 3 years. At the beginning of 2011, Michael re-joined the family architectural firm. Michael works out of our Newberg office, and is David's brother.
